After 14 years together, John and Steve tie the knot

Following the wedding, we went for a hike in Muir Woods

We had a fabulous dinner at the Culinary Academy

And a great view from our hotel

Even the Sea Lions barked their congratulations

And of course, here are the rings
A few months after our wedding, the courts in California ruled that the mayor of San Francisco had overstepped his authority in granting the marriage licenses and annulled all the same-sex marriages performed.
The case eventually went to the California Supreme Court, which, on May 15, 2008, ruled that the state must allow same sex marriages. They did not restore the San Francisco marriages though. We got married again in 2008.
